l At the weekend there was the first real opportunity for outdoor competitive play for a good number of weeks.

The courts were at last free of snow and frost.

l In division two of the Lincolnshire Doubles League the ladies second veteran team had a match against St James second ladies team. The result was a draw and a good result for Boston ladies against a team that narrowly missed out on promotion to division one last season.

Playing for Boston were Tricia Sweeney, Hilary Calvert, Rachel Gedney and Claire Smith.
