Boston Hockey Club men 4 St Ives 3rds 3: Cam’s the man as Salisbury sinks table toppers

Cameron Salisbury scored all four goals as Boston Hockey Club’s men’s beat league leaders St Ives Thirds 4-3.

Victory also saw the Sportsman side being able to proudly proclaim themselves as the first team to beat their guests in the East Hockey League Division 5NW this season.

Salisbury opened the scoring after combining with Connor Gilbert, before an own goal levelled the scores.

In a a ding-dong contest, Salisbury netted again, before St Ives levelled before the break.

Two minutes after the re-start, Salisbury’s ended his skilful run with his third goal of the day.

Despite the Boston defence looking assured, the away side netted with 10 minutes remaining.

But that only spurred Boston on, with Salisbury completing his scoring spree with his fourth and final goal of the day.

On Saturday, Boston host Bourne Deeping Fourths at Rosebery Avenue (KO 2.30pm).
