Boston Rugby Club can clinch the Midlands 4 East (North) title on Saturday.

The Blue and Whites host second-placed Worksop at the Boardsides (KO 3pm), knowing that just a point would be enough to secure top spot.

Willem Jonker’s side effectively claimed the title following their 33-15 victory at Long Eaton last week.

They sit 10 points clear of their opponents, with a staggeringly superior points difference of 360.

Beating Long Eaton secured a top-two finish and guaranteed promotion, but now they want to make it official.

“We have the advantage at the top of the table, and with a better points difference,” Jonker said.

“But I still want to boys to go out looking to win.”

Boston are unbeaten after 20 matches.
