Boston Rowing Club members are targeting silverware at this year’s Inter-Regional Championships.
A number of youngsters will represent the area after proving their worth at the East Midlands Regional Junior Squad trials this weekend.
Competing at Nottingham’s National Watersports Centre, four of the six Boston under 16s crews won their trials.
The format was simple, a 1,500m time trial in the boat of choice with the outright winner being selected.
Those rowers and crews which finished in second and third spots had the chance to come together to row in a different boat class to try and ensure everyone had a fair chance of getting a place on the squad.
Lucie Scott will represent the East Midlands after winning the W J14 1x section.
The peerless Latka twins Jasmine and Ruby won the W J14 2x and Dingo Summerfield was a runaway winner in the J14 1x event.
Completing the Boston RC wins were newcomers Jacques Garvey and Oliver Tunnard, who won the J14 2x race. The pair have both been rowing for less than a year.
The Inter-Regional Championships will be held at the lend of April, with Boston rowers in attendance.
