Boston win Golfers’ Alliance trophy

BOSTON Golf Club’s team won the Lincolnshire Golfers’ Alliance, played at Boston

And the club’s assistant professional Mark Skinner took the professionals’ and the assistants’ prizes.

The team of Bryan Skinner, David Coupland, Sam Dawson and Mark scored 84 points, winning by four points.

Conditions were very tough with high winds and played off three-quarters handicap, their score representing an excellent return.

Mark shot 38 points (off scratch two under par) to win the professionals’ prize by six from former European Tour player Andrew Hare (32 points). It was his maiden professional victory.

The October Saturday stableford saw a good turnout and some equally good scoring as Liam Maskell registered a win by four shots with 46 points from John Kadzionis, who edged out Carlos Stanney on a countback.
