Boston boxer Callum Johnson is looking to put more than a year of frustration behind him.

The light heavyweight is preparing for a May 31 bout at Walsall Town Hall.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Johnson last fought in May last year, when he stopped Doncaster’s James Tucker in the first round.

But since then, three shows he was billed to appear on have been cancelled.

Add that to an injury in November and he hasn’t seen action for 12 months.

“It’s frustrating, I just want to get in there again,” Johnson said.

He will fight on the undercard of Martin Gethin and Ameth Diaz’s IBF Lightweight title final eliminator.
