Four Boston ABC boxers travelled to the capital to compete on a show hosted by Haringey PPC.

Matthew Mooney proved too much for Jerome Campbell from Finchley & District ABC.

Mooney bossed from start to finish and was rewarded with the win.

Ashley Goddard faced the host club’s Numan Hussain, a gifted pugilist who gave the Boston man a tough time in the ring.

Both boxers showed great offensive displays of courage, but Hussain received the unanimous decision.

Tommy Upsall faced Steve Mokoko, also of Haringey.

The newly-crowned Notts & Lincs area champion was in fine form and his combinations were having the desired effect on Mokoko, but he was left dismayed as the decision went to the home-club fighter.

Nina Bradley didn’t box as her opponent, Oriance Lungu of Haringey, failed to show.
