BSC 1 stay top of the Super League

BSC 1 consolidated their position at the top of the Boston Snooker League Super league with a 6-2 win over struggling Cons 1.

Brian Bowman beat Paul Goodacre, S. Chick beat Nobby Clark, M. Anderson drew with Des Forbes and Craig Fitter and Paul Tether won one frame apiece.

BSC 9’s fight for survival saw them beat BSC 13 5-3. Chrissy Allwood, J. Welch and Mark Ferguson were the match’s three victorious players.

A new-look BSC 5 were comprehensively beaten by BSC 3, going down 7-1. The 5’s only points came from Paul Raymond against N. Robinson, Neil Hutson, Chris Ellis and Andy Swan wrapping up victory.

In the Premier League, Q Club 1 continued their dominance with a 6-2 win over BSC 16. Barry Cox and Dave Cutting drew, Craig Lee beat Stan Matthews 2-0, Chris Paul and Brett Skinner shared the points and James Woods completed the win by beating Roy Skinner.

BSC 19 kept up their challenge for Super League snooker next season with a 7-1 win over GravesPark 4. Will Tyson started proceedings with a win over Tracey Himsworth, Luke Christian showed some real maturity beating Scot Simpson, Nick Harwood beat J. Palmer and Robin Alexander drew with M. Tabor.

Cons 2 were narrowly beaten by a Q Club 2 team in need of points. Louis Wong beat Dale Sawer, followed by a comfortable win for Julian Furnell. James Brinkley and R. Harris shared the points before Gary Middleton won.

BSC 12 and BSC 8 played out a draw as Graham Day and A. Laws tied with S. Dunmore and G. Dunmore. Eamonn Taylor kept up his impressive form with a win over I. Dallywaters and Adam Norton ensured the draw with a win over Simon Wood.

Division One saw BSC 10 beat three-man Cons 5 6-2.

Carl Bailey and Alan Haycock drew, as did Andy Upsall and Nathan Yardley. Nick Hanson then beat Bill Spooner 2-0.

Cons 4 lost to Shodfriars 3 5-3, John Vine and R. Crunkhorn both won while Dave Nundy and J. Ely drew. L. Clayton pulled two points back for Cons.

BSC 6 lost to BSC 4, going down 5-3. Kevin Hirst beat Gordon Russell before Mike Deal levelled. Chris Hirst beat Richard Killick before Ray Cartwright and Dave France drew.

In Division Two, promotion contenders BSC 7 beat West End Bowls 6-2. Logan Hazzard, Tyler Roberts and James Shaw made it 6-0 before R. Mason pulled one back.

Leaders Cons 3 drew with Graves Park, all matches drawn.

Q Club 3 played a blinder beating BSC 17 8-0, Dave Cartwright, S.Holland, I. Russell and Chris Vere all winning.
