TOP team performance into Boston on Saturday was by the partnership of John Hardy and John Burt who took the first three places in Boston and District Flying Club’s race from Whitley Bay.

Their three birds arrived together and were separated only by decimals as they sped home at more than a mile a minute, on a velocity of 1,797 yards per minute.

But, just when it was thought this was the fastest into town, it turned out that it was not.

The in-form loft of Carl Upsall and Trevor Frost stormed to victory in Boston Central RPC, their three-year-old cock bird racing home at an incredible speed of 1801ypm.
