Kirton rider Aaron Clarke is looking forward to his second race in the 2014 National Superstock 600 championship when he travels to Oulton Park over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
He intends to improve on his 26th place finish at Brands Hatch and try to improve his qualifying to gain a better grid position ahead of his race on Monday.
The Brands Hatch event was marred by poor weather conditions during qualifying and the race interrupted by red flags and crashes which Clarke was lucky to avoid.
He said: “I was able to miss the multiple bike crash which caused the red flag.
“Once we started again I felt strong but, because of my low grid position, I wasn’t able to make too much headway during the race and finished well outside the points.
“But I am looking forward to the Oulton race and will be setting my sights on gaining a fast time during qualifying to elevate me further up the grid this time.”
Following testing and qualifying, the race is due to start at 2.15pm on Monday and will be included in the live television coverage on Eurosport 2.
