Boston Indoor Bowling Club’s teams playing in the County Leagues had mixed fortunes.

In the Men’s Lincolnshire League Division One, Boston finished second, well behind the winners Spalding.

In Division Three the Boston team came second bottom.

However, victory was earned in the Lincolnshire County Mixed League, a distance ahead of second-placed Spalding.

The Over 60s Lincolnshire League saw the Boston representitives third, way behind the winners Lincoln A.

The Lincolnshire Ladies’ Trudy Bates League (Group B) saw a Boston side finish second to Lincoln, who played off against Spalding, the winners of Group A, Spalding winning overall.

In the Lincolnshire County under 18s League, Boston tied with Spalding, the latter having the greater shot difference and were crowned Champions.

In the club finals, Adrian Field was crowned the Men’s singles Champion of Champions winner, beating Jonathan West 21-20.

Jonathan made amends, winning the under 25s singles against Daniel Harrison 21-7.

The Men’s Pairs saw Paul Flatters and Les Feary overcome Jonathan West and Andrew Reeson 22-13.

The Ladies’ 15-end Singles saw Katy Tointon winning 12-11 against Janet Vinter.

The Dickinson Fours saw a win for Geoff Taylor, Colin Palmer, Ron Flowers and Keith French, who recorded a 22-18 against Martin Tomlin’s quartet.

The Mixed Triples title went to Catlin Moore, Stuart Moore and Andrew Reeson, who pulled off a surprise win 17-10.

Jonathan won another title, the Mixed Pairs, playing with Chantal Spencer against Sue Simpson-Shaw and Alex Tomlin 22-17.

Alex Tomlin, playing with Bazza Wilson in the Handicap Pairs, won well against Rod West and Adrian Field 24-10.

The Ladies’ Triples saw the combination of Jo Sharp, Mary Hewinson and Jill Smith defeat Jenny Hill, Gill Grant and Sheila King 19-31.

The Men’s triples of Adrian Field, Simon Reeson and Mick Tomlin beat Rod West, Scott Whyers and Jonathan West 16-5.

The Men’s Over 60 Singles saw Mick Tomlin defeat Dave Gill.

The Ladies’ Pairs saw Jill Smith pick up another trophy, with the help of Sheila King.

Matched against J. Sharp and Jean Thompson, they won 26-18.

The Ladies’ Thorlby Singles was won by Di Wilson-Rogers, who overcame Katy Tointon 21-16.

The Boston Indoor Bowling Club’s Saturday Night League has come to an end.

Division One winners were the Magpies, with Lynx winning Division Two.
