Dave Coupland is vowing to come back even stronger next year.
The Boston golfer’s debut season on the Challenge Tour saw him earn his place at Qualifying School for the European Tour.
Despite missing out on a regular place on the continent’s top tier, he is determined to improve in 2015.
“I feel quite confident I can push on next year without going back to school,” said Coupland, who has earned his full Challenge Tour card, as well as guest appearances at a handful of European Tour events.
“I know some of the courses now.
“I’m not going to put pressure on myself, but I’m going to prepare well and look to get off to a good start.”
The 28-year-old also believes he has plenty of time on his side in his bid to become a regular on the European Tour.
“They say that golfers don’t peak until their mid-30s,” Coupland added.
“I’ve still got a few years left before I get there.
“But I feel that I am capable to get there before then.
“I’d like to try to get there as soon as possible.”
