Megan Hartfil-Allgood has been crowned an English taekwondo champion.

The 15-year-old, from Donington, competed in the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain’s English Championships in Worcester.

And she returned home after earning her place on top of the podium - after impressing in her new fight category.

Megan recently made the step up to the cadet girls’ section.

And despite giving away a considerable weight advantage to her opponents, she did not let that hold her back as she came through to be crowned the national champion.

Megan, who trains at the Annabel Murcott club in Billingborough, took up the sport six years ago.

And the Spalding High School pupil has proven that she has what it takes after rising to the rank of black belt two years ago.
