Professional darts player Robbie Green called in at Boston’s Rumblin Tums cafe last week on his way to an exhibition night.

The 41-year-old from Liverpool, whose nickname is ‘Kong’, is pictured, second right, with cafe owner Dale Broughton and staff members Lisa Clarke and Emma Medcalfe outside the cafe on Fish Hill, Market Place.

Dale said: “Robbie visited the cafe after reading reviews on social media about our home cooked food.”

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) player has vowed to return to the Rumblin Tum when he is next in the area.

Green, who was runner-up at the 2009 BDO World Masters, is the second big name darts player to visit the cafe.

Two years ago the three-time world championship runner-up Tony O’Shea popped in.
