Derby day! Teams from Boston Tennis Club go head-to-head

Boston Tennis Club teams were up against each other in Winter League action.

Boston A team - Jack Morrow, Zac McDonnell-Woods, Alex Gordon and David Cheer - continued their good form, beating Boston F (Richard Wods, Charles Tupper, Toby McDonnell-Woods and Doug Motson) 4-0.

Boston B – Andy Clamp, Gemma Clamp, Richard Tupper and Sev Smura - made it 4-0 against the Boston E team of Terry Wilkinson, Helen Duckett, Thomas Cozens and Rebecca Beardsley.

Boston C’s Dan Bambridge, Anthony Hulley, James Newton and Geoff Presland won 4-0 against Boston D’s Michal Chmielik, Simon Beardsley, Richard Cozens and David Dunlop.

The Boston Men’s Veteran Firsts began their Slazenger Lincolnshire League, defence by beating the Seconds (Andy Clamp, Henry Cheer, Peter Elphick (pictured) and Sev Smura) 4-0.

Ray Frankish, Chris Cook, James Newton and Richard Hart were the Firsts.

In the Bombay Brasserie Junior Leagues, Serena Morrow leads the way in the Red League, followed by Isabel Wookey, Libby Alexander and Lucy Hopper.

In the Orange League, William Cheer and Millie Alexander are out in front.

Matthew Gedney, Thomas Hull and Paris Royal top the Green League standings.

In the Yellow League, Lucas East is narrowly ahead of Harry Foster and Joe Parla.
