Dowson delivers as Boston hit 11

BOSTON Ladies earned a strong 11-1 win at Alford Seconds on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead when trusty centre half Lisa Ceaser suffered a head injury followingan illegal tackle from an Alford player.

Katie Beeson picked the ball up and teed up Fiona Dowson to slot the ball home.

Dowson made it 3-0 from another good team move before Alford reduced the arrears to make the half time score 3-1.

Within three minutes of the re-start, Beeson set up Dowson to complete her hat-trick.

Boston’s fifth goal came from a fine pass from winger Chris Panton, Dowson again getting the final touch.

Again standing strong, Beeson took the ball from the centre of the pitch and made her way to the the Alford goal where she ticked home to complete a great solo goal.

Beeson then scored twice again to make it eight, taking her tally to three.

But Dowson was in a free-scoring mood and made it 9-1 with her fifth finish.
