Two Boston Squash and Racketball Club members are county champions.
Mark Hildred won his fifth over 45s title at the Lincolnshire County Championships, his 24th senior county crown overall.
Meanwhile, David Stones retained the over 55s title, unfortunate that there were no challengers in the category.
In the men’s over 45 section, defending champion Hildred (right) defeated Cleethorpes’ John Tamplin 3-0 in the quarter-finals before beating Steve Bell, from Lincoln, by the same score in the semi-finals.
In the final he came up against a determined Alan Smith, also from Lincoln.
Smith had defeated Stones 3-0 in his semi-final.
Despite losing the first game 6-11, Hildred came out on top in a hard fought battle to win the next three games 11-4, 11-9 and 11-7.
It was unfortunate for Stones (left) that there were no over 55 championships, due to no further entries.
As the winner from the previous year, he retained his crown.
However, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the men’s over 45 competition, Stones also competed in the men’s competition, defeating Steve Bell from Lincoln 3-2 in the quarter-finals before losing out to eventual winner Pete Dickinson 3-0 in the semis.
In the over 35s event, Boston’s Jake Fountain took a game off Lincoln’s Russ Watkins before going down 3-1 in the quarter-final.
Boston’s Jason Green also went down to Jon Hand 3-0 in this round, but fellow Boston member Graham Wallis progressed all the way to the final, after defeating the number one seed Dean Hiatt, from Lincoln.
Graham played a good tournament throughout and was 2-1 up on Dean when Hiatt had to withdraw injured.
However, the final proved one step too far for Graham, going down to defending champion and number two seed Jon Hand, from Market Deeping.
