Eastenders clinched The Mill Division One title of the Boston Indoor Bowls League this week with a 6-0 win over IBC.

A comfortable 38-5 from K. Tointon, A. Field and P. Flatters and a very close 16-14 from L. Reeson, M. Whyers and A. Reeson meant second-placed Holland Fen can’t catch them.

In turn, a 6-0 win for Holland Fen over Invaders (Mick Tomlin 22-16, K. French 19-10), guarantees second place.

Results: Eastenders 6 IBC 0, Holland Fen 6 Invaders 0, A40 4 Royal Mail 2, Freelanders 4 Kirton Town 2, Jolly Farmers 3 Half Pints 3.

It’s still all to play for at the top of T&B Containers Division Two as both Punchbowlers and Swineshead put in maximum results this week.

Leaders Punchbowlers beat Feathers (T. Bush 24-14, J. Skelton 22-18) while Swineshead beat Patriarchs (F. Scrupps 20-15, N. Barnes 27-8).

With two teams dropping out of the league from Division One next year there, will probably be room for both to gain promotion.

Results: Punchbowlers 6 Feathers 0, Swineshead 6 Patriarchs 0, Strollers 6 Golfers 0, Parthians 4 Norprint 0, Amateurs 4 Boston Park 2, Breakaways 6 Crowns 0.

In Cammacks Division Three, Hotspurs had a great week.

The league newcomers were playing a double week and they beat highflying The Autos 6-0 before grabbing win number two against Central, 4-2.

Results: Hotspurs 6 Autos 6, Hotspurs 4 Central 2, Poachers 6 Shipmates 0, Sibsey 3 Vikings 3, High Flyers 6 Central 0, Traders 4 Fairways 2, The Burtons 5 BBC 1.
