Egham roll comes to an end at South Forest

Boston Indoor Bowls Club’s Egham Trophy team narrowly missed out on a place in the national quarter-finals.

Despite winning three rinks, they lost out by three points overall to opponents South Forest.

In the National Top Club event, Boston just edged past Hornsea 85-83.

The Mill Inn Division One of the Boston Indoor Bowls League saw leaders Eastenders defeat Kirton Town 6-0 and Halfpints beat Freelanders 6-0. Other results saw second place Holland Fen lose 4-2 to A40, Carlton Road win 5-1 win over Royal Mail and Jolly Farmers win 4-2 against Invaders.

In T&B Containers Division Two, Swineshead beat Boston Park 4-2 and Amateurs by the same score. Feathers beat Amateurs 6-0, leaders Punchbowlers lost 4-2 to Crowns, Strollers lost 4-2 to Patriarchs, Parthians beat Golfers 4-2 and Breakaways and Norprint shared the points 3-3.

In the Cammacks Division Three, Central won 6-0 over BBC, Autos lost 5-1 to Poachers, Sibsey lost 4-2 to Shipmates, Fairways won 4-2 against the Burtons, Vikings beat Traders 4-2 and Hotspurs lost 4-2 to High Flyers.
