For the first time in English Schools’ history, the National Combined Events Championships will be held in Boston.

The Princess Royal Sports Arena beat off competition from London’s Olympic Stadium and Crystal Palace, as well as the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, to play host to the nation’s top young athletes on September 20-21.

This is the first time that any of the three major National Schools’ Track and Field Championships have been hosted by Lincolnshire.

This is an annual competition which brings together athletes from all over the county to participate in up to 10 athletics events over two days.

It is both a team and individual competition and over recent years Lincolnshire athletes and teams have won the National titles.

There are 42 athletes in each of the three age groups for both boys and girls.

The competition first takes place in all the counties in England from which teams are selected to represent their county at one of six regional finals.

Lincolnshire has staged the regional final in the past in both Grantham and Boston and the winners of the regional competitions then go on to represent the region at the national final in September.
