The Quorn Family Cup was played at Boston Tennis Club on Saturday night.

Nineteen pairs of family members enjoyed a great time of adult and child mini red doubles.

The winners from group A were Jessica Dolata and father Rob, whilst Billy and Neil Smith took the honours in Group B.

Group C produced joint winners - Declan Dodes and mum Jenny, Tomas Goreliks and coach Richard, Marcelina Lesmowski and her dad Greg.

Many of these youngsters that played in this event were again in action the next day in Aegon Team Tennis competition.

Boston Red A team - Jacob Felipes, Ben Rudkin, Billy Smith and Yasmin Everitt - played and won against Grantham B.

Boston B Red team had a match against Sleaford which went very well.

There was sunny weather and a win for the team of Yasmin Everitt, Matilda Clark, Alina Rubina and Jake Leggate.

Meanwhile, a very young Boston Red C team just missed out to Horncastle.

The team of Nina Chambers, Oliver Richardson, Alice Servonat and Declan Dodes took part.

In the 12 and under Premier League of Aegon Team Tennis, Boston girls had a very good win against Leamington in an away match on Saturday.

The team has worked hard over the last few weeks and deserved this result.

Lucy Evans, Alice Gamman, Christie Halton and Stephanie Ainsworth won 8-4.

Boston’s under 12 boys lost 4-8 to Rustons.

Tom Mecklenburgh won his singles 6-1 6-0 and Max Mecklenburgh and Will Cheer won their doubles 7-5 6-7, then 10-3 in the tie break.

The 16 and under boys - Lucas East, Harry Foster, Michael Niedermeier and Connall Newton – lost out in a very tough match against Grantham.

Boston Men’s Thirds got the ball rolling for all Lincolnshire teams in the Slazenger Lincolnshire Doubles League.

Against Bourne Seconds the team of Chris Cook, John Gibson, Tom Cozens, Fred Calvert, Richard Hart and Andy Clamp faced a tough third round at 2-4 down.

Having lost three close tie-break third sets in the first two rounds the team came comfortably through the third round with three victories to give them a 5-4 result.
