Fenmen move to within two points of top in Boston Indoor Bowls League

In the Mill Inn Division One, second-placed Holland Fen moved to within two points of the top spot.

With leaders Eastenders on a bye week, the Fenmen took full advantage, as skips K. French and A. French won 30-8 and 33-12 to sink Royal Mail.

Third-placed Carlton Road picked up all six points against IBC, thanks to wins of 23-13 on both rinks from L. Feary and C. Gill.

A40 beat Jolly Farmers (20-14 and 18-17) as and Freelanders picked up their second rink win of the season, although Invaders won the aggregate points.

Halfpints gave a debut to new signing W. Phoenix, who skipped his rink to a 27-10 victory, although Kirton Town rescued two points with a 16-13 win from Captain J. Smith.

The T&B Containers Division Two saw Punchbowlers slip up and drop two points to Breakaways.

J. Whyers, I. Dilley and G. Gallichan (15-11) did the damage.

Taking advantage were Strollers, who moved top after taking six points from Parthians (17-13 and 19-12).

Parthians, in a double week, took four points against Feathers, who also went down 4-2 to Swineshead.

Bottom team Boston Park lost 6-0 to Patriarchs, Golfers won 6-0 against Norprint and Amateurs won 6-0 against Crowns.

In the Cammacks Division Three, leaders Poachers won 4-2 against second-placed Sibsey.

Autos beat Highflyers 4-2, Shipmates and Vikings drew 3-3, Fairways recorded a 6-0 win over Central, The Burtons beat Traders 4-2 and, in the bottom two, BBC beat Hotspurs 6-0.
