The Fenside Fish is continuing to make a splash.
Teenager Connor Boyfield - who goes by that memorable nickname - claimed three medals at this weekend’s ASA West Midlands Region Para Swimming Championships, held in Rugby.
The 6ft 5ins swimmer, who has dreams of competing at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, claimed a spectacular gold in the 50m butterfly, plus silvers in both the 100m butterfly and 100 individual medley.
Fenside Road resident Connor - who turns 17 on Saturday - is no stranger to success.
Earlier this year he scooped a staggering six-medal haul at the East Midlands Para-Swimming Championships.
He left that event with two golds and four silvers - not bad at all considering he only took up the sport two years ago.
Connor, who was born with part of his right arm missing, is a Boston Amateur Swimming Club member.
He is now preparing for the national finals in Manchester this December.
