ALSO heading south to Brands Hatch for round nine of the Metzeler National Superstock 600 will be Wyberton-based Kawasaki Team Green/G&S Racing rider Tom Fisher.
Fisher, who is sitting pretty in sixth place in the overall rider standings, will be looking to extend his run of top results at the Kent circuit on Sunday.
He has been sponsored locally by Boston company Calders and Grandidge rode to a creditable fifth place in the Oulton Park round two weeks ago and, with just five rounds remaining in the current campaign, will be aiming his sights at another top five finish this time around to maintain his position in the rider standings.
The weekend begins with an official test on the Indy course at the Kent circuit on Friday morning at 10.30am just prior to a visit from the Olympic Torch relay which passes through Brands Hatch at 11pm.
The remainder of the race meeting is to be held on the full GP circuit and the first of the two qualifying sessions takes place on Saturday at 11.05am followed by final qualifying at 4.25pm when grid positions will be set for the start of the 12-lap race on Sunday at 12.45pm.
