Ben Wilson will compete in next year’s British Supersport championship as the teammate of his fiercest rival of recent years.
Wilson’s Gearlink Kawasaki team have signed up Alistair Seeley to partner him.
In 2011, Seeley beat Wilson, from Kirton, on the final race of the championship, to claim the title by a single point in a nail-biting finale.
Now they go from rivals to teammates.
Team manager Michael de Bidaph said: “This is a fantastic signing for us, it will involve a lot of work but I really think now is the right time to have two riders that can potentially win the championship for Gearlink Kawasaki.”
