Freiston BC have won the Boston and Skegness EBA Bowls League’s Division Two title, securing their return to the first division.

They won a title decider against Horncastle in their final game of the season at home.

It was a close encounter going to the last end on the green.

Horncastle had won two rinks through skips Steve Boucher and George Lancaster, but Freiston skip Mick Stray got three shots on the final end to clinch their rink points and to give Freiston the aggregate by three shots which gave them a 6-4 victory and the title and Horncastle having to settle for the runners-up slot.

In other games in Division Two, Skegness Town had a good home win against Sibsey 8-2 with J. Utnage and F. Mumby skipping their winning rinks, whilst Dave Bridges got the two points for the visitors.

Les Feary, Geoff Parker and Chris Gill were the successful skips.

Burton House maintained their second position with a 10-0 victory at home to Stickney.

Gary Morris, Mick Asplen and Graham Porter skipped the winning rinks.

Foreshore got back to winning ways with a 10-0 win away to West End.

Boston BC had a double week and had an 8-2 home victory against West End but then the following night Friskney were the visitors and they lost 8-2.
