Jack Drury suffered a frustrating weekend in the BSB Superstock 600 at Donington Park.
Going into a wet free practice on Friday morning he placed 17th out of 34 riders but the rear calliper brake pads fell out during the wheel swap in qualifying two, costing the Old Leake rider 11 minutes of qualifying time.
Drury did go on to record a track personal best time in qualifying, but a coasting rider cost him the chance of progressing further.
A massive high side out of Goddard’s in the Sunday warm-up left Drury with a sick looking bike, but with several parts donated from other riders and teams, he were back in the game with only 15 minutes to spare.
“With the frustration of the weekend I had only one thought in my mind and that was to finish the race and try improve my time without bending anything else,” Drury said.
He finished the race in 19th from 34 riders.
His next outing is the final round at Brands Hatch on October the 15-16.
