TOM Fisher and Jono Howarth head to Silverstone in Northamptonshire for the penultimate round of the Metzeler National Superstock championship.

Fisher will compete in the 600cc class and Howarth in the 1,000cc series for Wyberton-based Team Green/G&S Racing.

The two riders scored an eighth place finish apiece at Donington and are confident they can repeat this at Silverstone.

Fisher said: “I love the fast, flowing circuit and can’t wait to race there again.

“I scored two eighths at Donington last time out and see no reason why I can’t do that or even better this coming weekend.

“The G&S Team has worked well this year and we are just beginning to pick up some good results.

“I want to repay the boys for all their hard work by scoring well at Silverstone and Brands Hatch to finish the year on a high note.”

Howarth is also confident he can pull something special out of the bag.

He added: “This season has not been without its problems, we have had a couple of injuries and a few mechanical problems but I am now fully fit and the bike is running really well so I expect to pick up a good result at Silverstone.”

Free practice for both Superstock classes takes place on Friday morning.

This will be followed by the first half an hour qualifying session in the afternoon.

Final qualifying is on Saturday, which will determine the grid for Sunday’s races.

The 10-lap Superstock 600 race begins at 12.10pm followed at 3pm by the 11-lap Superstock 1000 event.
