FOLLOWING a successful test at the Lincolnshire circuit last week, G&S Racing return to Cadwell Park for round nine of the National Superstock championship.
Jono Howarth will contest the 1,000cc class and Tom Fisher the 600cc race over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Cadwell is the Wyberton-based team’s local circuit.
Fisher is relishing the chance to race at Cadwell.
He said: “We have done a fair bit of testing at the circuit and I quite like the track.
I hope to hit the ground running and continue where I left off at Snetterton, when I finished in eighth position.
“Oulton was a non-event as it was rained off and Brands Hatch just didn’t seem to go well for me.
“I need to get back on track and score some points”
Howarth feels equally as positive.
He was forced out of Brands Hatch with a machine failure, but produced his best ever result at Oulton Park with a strong fifth place.
He will be looking to emulate that at Cadwell and said: “Testing went well here at Cadwell and I am itching to get back on the bike and see if I can pull off another strong result.
“I really enjoy the Lincolnshire circuit.
“I can’t wait – bring it on!”
Both classes will have a free practice session around the 2.18-mile course on Saturday morning, ahead of first qualifying later in the day.
Final qualifying for both riders is on Sunday, the Superstock 600 class at 1pm followed by the Superstock 1,000 riders at 1.40pm.
Howarth is the first G&S team member to race on Monday with the 15-lap Superstock 1000 race due on track at 11.30am.
Tom Fisher will take his place on the grid for the start of the 14-lap Superstock 600 event at 2.15pm.
