WYBERTON-based G&S Racing/Team Green travel south to Thruxton in Hampshire for round four of the Metzeler Nation Superstock 1,000 and 600 Superstock championships this weekend – where both riders will be aiming for a points finish.
Both Tom Fisher and Jono Howarth completed their races at Thruxton last season, although neither was quite in a position to score championship points.
Howarth just missed out on the points last year and is determined to improve on that this time around.
He scored a strong 13th place at Croft last time out and will be looking to add to his points tally in the Superstock 1,000 series.
“I do like the Thruxton circuit, it is quite a challenge as it is one of the fastest and most technical circuits on the calendar,” he said.
“I am now fully fit and will be going all out to bring home a strong result for the team.”
Fisher also likes the Hampshire circuit but has not had a lot of luck there.
He finished well down the order last year but with the G&S Kawasaki 600 under him he is determined to improve his times and finish the race in a points scoring position.
Free practice and qualifying take place over Saturday and Sunday with the 15-lap Superstock 1000 race scheduled for Monday, with an 11.35am start.
The Supersport 600 event takes place later in the day at 5pm, and will run over 14 laps.
