Boston and District AC’s David Johnson ran in the Cross Bay Challenge - a half marathon race across the vast Morecombe Bay.
The only known race across a tidal bay, the Cross Bay Challenge started in Morecombe and finished in Grange over Sands.
The course was laid out across the sands and through the 200m-wide and two foot deep-Kent channel.
David finished the event in 149th place, out of the more than runners, in a time of 1 hr 54 mins 48 secs.
Different winners emerged in the two latest 5K events in Friday Five Road Race series.
The event - hosted by Boston and District AC - saw Katie Ward from Fenland Runners win the second race.
She recorded 20 mins 52 secs.
In second was Gold Top Tony Tomlin.
Finishing third was Vivienne Martin in 25mins 23.1 secs.
In the third race in the series, Tony Tomlin was first across the line again, clocking 22 mins 48secs. In second was Alicia Woodcock (24 mins 06 secs), with Vivienne Martin third (25 mins 17 secs).
