Two Boston Golf Club members have been selected to represent the England girls’ under 16s squad.
Lois Williamson and Erin Brown have received confirmation that they will spend next year with the national set-up, which is based at Woodhall Spa Golf Club.
This will see them both play in regionalised matches against other members of the squad, with the possibility of also competing in international competitions.
For Bostonian Lois, this will be her second year competing under the England banner.
After impressing this year, the 15-year-old - who has been playing the sport for 11 years - has been asked to return.
It has been a good year for Lois, who represents both Lincolnshire’s junior and ladies’ teams and plays of a handicap of 6, as she won the Ladies’ Championship at Boston Golf Club, among other titles.
Erin, who also began playing golf aged four, is a newcomer to the England squad.
She earned her place in the set-up after impressing on the county circuit - representing the county’s girls’ team - and she also believes that winning the Peggoty Cup at Torksey Golf Club also brought her to the selectors’ attention.
The 14-year-old, who lives in Frithville, plays off a handicap of 11.
Both Lois and Erin are coached by Boston Golf Club pro Nick Hiom.
