The 2014 pigeon racing season started on Saturday with a race from Bubwith.

In a cold east wind that was not to the liking of the birds – or fanciers awaiting their arrival - proceedings got underway.

Quickly off the mark, following their general pattern of recent seasons, was the partnership of John Hardy and John Burt.

The pairing took the first two places in Boston and District FC’s standings.

A good winner in Boston Central RPC was Ken Ward.
