The ace Boston pigeon racing partnership of John Hardy and John Burt continued their fine start to the season with their second successive win in Boston and District Flying Club, this time in the 150-mile race from Whitley Bay.

On the other side of the town, veteran Cliff Edwards continued his top form of last season by winning in Boston Central RPC, being also denied second place on decimals by George Watts. It was a particularly competitive race in this club.
