Boston Tennis Club’s Henry Beesley has won his first 18 and under Winter Regional Tour event.
Playing at Sunderland Tennis Centre in the Grade Three Winter Regional Tour competition this weekend, Henry beat Sam Clarke from Cumbria in the final 6-2, 7-6, winning the tie-break 7-4.
Clarke had already disposed of Surrey’s Max Battista – the top seed – so he was a player on good form, but not enough to match Henry.
This weekend Henry and brother Dom will join the Lincolnshire Men’s team competing in the Aegon Winter County Cup playing in Norwich.
