JOSE Ferriera won his third Boston Friday Five road race event in a row this week.
He has now won three of the four races, in the five-event series.
In fine and dry conditions, Jose set off intent on producing a new series record.
At the finish he recorded 31 mins 31 secs, which was 26 seconds slower than his best time achieved, which won the third race in the series on August 5.
Dennis Rainbow ran well and finished just nine seconds outside his best time for the 5.4-mile course, clocking 33 mins 46 secs.
In his first finish, 17-year-old Aidan McClure recorded 37 mins 21 secs, ahead of veteran 55 Geoff Johnson on 37 mins 58 secs.
A minute slower than his best for the series, Ian Scott finished in 40 mins 30 secs, but Emma Penniston knocked more than a minute off her personal best for the course.
Maintaining an even pace throughout, 17-year-old Emma finshed strongly, crossing the line in 43 mins 04 secs.
Fran Mills (46 mins 27 secs) prevailed over Vivian Martin (47 mins 15 secs) with veteran Meryl Smith making her debut and recording 61 mins 25 secs.
The final race in the series in on Friday, starting at 7pm at the B-Hive on Punchbowl Lane.
Entries are accepted from 6pm on the night.
