Twenty members from Boston Golf Club’s Ladies’ Section turned out in freezing conditions to play the Boston Shamble.

The competition was played over eight holes.

Teams of three drove off and - after choosing the best drive - each player then went on to play from that, with the best two scores counting on each hole.

Winning with 39 stableford points was the team of Ann Gullick, Lynn Brown, and Joan Young.

In second place with 34 points were Jean Markham, Pam King and Chris Sherriff.

Jacquie Short, Yvonne Wright and Kathy Stanley finished third, also recording 34 poins, but missing out on countback.
