CALLUM Johnson earned a points victory against Scunthorpe’s Jody Meikle on Saturday night.

The Boston boxer - who won gold for Scotland at last year’s Commonwealth Games - was far too powerful for the Scunthorpe man at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena.

He persevered, despite Meikle’s spoiling tactics, to record a 40-35 victory after the four rounds had concluded.

It’s two from two for Johnson now, who marked his arrival on the professional scene with a stoppage of Phillip Townley in December.
