Katie leads the way as TJ girls lift county crowns

TEN girls from TJ Gymnastics’ artistic squad competed against eight other clubs and nearly 100 gymnasts at Spalding in the Lincolnshire County Level Five Championships.

Winning 15 medals and two shields, the girls performed brilliantly, taking the top award over all age groups on the floor and five of the top six places over all age groups over all apparatus.

In the eight-years category, Holly Menzies took the gold and Gracie Chase the bronze.

In the nine-years group, Paige Wallis took the gold, and in the 10-years age group, Zoe Worthington took the silver and Andrea Barnes the bronze medal.

In the 11-years age group, Romae Mackintosh took the gold and Annalise Smith the bronze.

In the 12-years age group, Cherida Sohngen took the silver, and in the 13+ age group, Katie Vickers took the gold.

Over all of the age groups on vault, Annalise Smith came fourth and Paige Wallis fifth.

Over all of the age groups on bars, Katie Vickers won silver.

Over all of the age groups on floor, Holly Menzies and Katie Vickers won joint gold, Paige Wallis and Annalise Smith came joint fourth and Cherida Sohngen came sixth.

Over all of the age groups on beam, Romae Mackintosh won bronze, Cherida Sohngen came fourth and Paige Wallis came sixth.

Over all the age groups over all the apparatus, Katie Vickers won gold, Paige Wallis silver and Romae Mackintosh came sixth.
