Kirton Holme Golf Club host Charity Open

The 2015 Kirton Holme Charity Open proved a great success with 20 teams of four entering the competition, sponsored by Drayton Motors.

In all, £1,205 was raised for the Captains Charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The winning team comprised of Ian Prior, Rene Sweere, Graham Morris and Mark Bellamy.

Smith, Ryan Lawson 89 points; Winning Ladies team - Deb Ward, Jackie Maton, Christine Burton, Lorraine Gaille 83 points; Winning Mixed team - Jim Welch, Mark Reynolds, Vic Smith, Mary Piper 79 points.

The Tigers’ June Medal was won by Clive Johns with a gross 83, nett 67, with Stuart Thomas second on countback with a gross 80, nett 68.

Ryan Lawson was third with a gross 92, nett 72.

The June Stableford was won on countback by Mark Bellamy with 38 points, with Pete Sharman second also on 38 and Pat Butler third with 37.

Denis Barnett won the June Rabbits’ Medal, carding a gross 88, nett 65, with Lee Nicholson second with a gross 93, nett 67.

In third was Dave Beeson with a gross 83, nett 67.

The Seniors June Medal was won by Brian Pullen with a gross 82, nett 64.

Mick Pickett was second with a gross 81, nett 68 and David Smith third with a gross 85, nett 69.

Peter Burgess won the Seniors’ June Stableford with 37 points, with Pete Sharman second on countback with 33 points and Norman Ablard also on 33.

The Ladies’ June Sunday Medal was won on countback by Barbara Pell with a gross 85, nett 69.

Sarah Horton was second, also with with a gross 85, nett 69 and Lorna Locking came third with a gross 96, nett 71.

The Ladies’ June Tuesday Medal was won by Jane Cowan with a nett 72, with Margaret Johns second with a nett 74 and Sue Burnett third with a nett 75.

The Ladies’ June Stableford was won by Val Richardson with 36 points, with Barbara Pell second on countback with 34 and Tricia Sharpe third, also with 34.
