Ladies and Seniors are in full swing once again

Boston Golf Club’s Ladies versus Seniors competition got the new season going as usual, although this time it was played as a mixed competition.

Last Wednesday’s stableford format saw the best lady and best senior scores count on all holes.

Winning with 85 points were Malcolm Hyde, Alan Bradley, Jean Markham and Lynn Worthington.

Second were David Hodgson, Keith James, Ann Hodgson and Pam Bett with a score of 83 points.

Boston Ladies held their Open Spring Waltz, with 14 teams of four from various parts of the county playing off full handicaps.

In first were Boston’s Jacquie Short, Joan Young, Jane Marriott and Julia West with 83 points, ahead of clubmates Jean Markham, Pam Hyde, Ann Hodgson and Yvonne Shaffarczyk with 80 points.

Making it a one-two-three, Boston’s Marion Bavin, Ruth Street, Pam Bett and Pam Clare were third on 78 points.
