Ladies enjoy an Arizona shuffle at Boston GC

Twenty-five ladies turned out to play an Arizona shuffle over 10 holes at Boston Golf Club.

There were seven teams of three, and one team made up of four players.

The stableford format saw two scores count on par fours, all three scores count on par threes and one score counting on the par fives.

The winning team of Jean Markham, Kathy Stanley and Anne Wallhead returned a score of 42 points.

Second place went to Pat Clifton, Jacquie Short and Yvonne Wright with 41 points, ahead of Pam Hyde, Barbara Unwin and Pam Bett in third with 36 points.

On Sunday, Gary Frost and Ian Taylor won the Pairs Texas Scramble with a net 60.3.

In second were Rob Whitley and Neil Timby on 60.7, with Regan McGowan and Matty Hoyland third on 61.0 and Peter Kelly and Gary Willis fourth (61.8).
