Late flurry sees Fireflies successful in netball league

FIREFLIES produced the goods late on to beat Flinders Flyers 28-11 in this League Two match.

In the first quarter there was some very good play from both sides.

Fireflies started the second quarter strongly, but the Finders Flyers’ defence was tough to break.

Through persistence and hard work the Fireflies ended the second quarter leading by six goals.

The continued to pull away from the Flyers with a flurry of goals in the final two quarters, taking the final score to 28-11

BUNC Black 35

Allstars 14

Boston United Black proved too strong for Allstars when they met in League One.

Despite Allstars scoring the first goal of the match, BUNC Black had more strength through the first quarter.

The Allstars defence were spirited, with Carla Westwell and Harri Gedney working tirelessly.

There was some fantastic link-up play from BUNC, which was just too quick for the Allstars to contend with.

Despite falling behind, the Allstars worked hard continually to the end of the game.
