Boston Hockey Club Men have claimed the scalp of league leaders Louth.

Having previously lost 2-1 to their opponents, the Boston side turned things around with a 2-0 result in this Eastern Hockey League Division 5NW fixture.

Harry Stephenson and Bruce Boldy, both away at university, came back for the tough fixture.

The first half was end-to-end action, with many saves being made by Jack Ashton.

Boston earnt a short corner and Cameron Salisbury’s deflection saw them edge in front.

The second half saw man-of-the-match Ashton pull off a number of early saves before salisbury scored his 28th of the season - again from a short corner.

Boston now sit second in the league, one point behind Louth with three games to play.
