The second round of the Anglian League competition saw two Boston Amateur Swimming Club teams come face-to-face for the first time this year.

Hosted at the Geoff Moulder Leisure Pool, the Boston club also welcomed St Neots and Wisbech for the evening of competition.

The Boston A team got off to a flying start, winning seven out of the first 10 races.

This saw them 10 points ahead of the Wisbech swimmers.

Further race wins were added over the next few races by Lewis Moses (boys’ open 50m fly) and Thomas Liddy (boys’ 13 and under 100m backstroke) which saw the A team maintain their points cushion.

Despite wins from Joseph Vickers (boys 13 and under 200m individual medley), Chloe Baldry (girls 15 and under 200m individual medley) and Becky Pimlott (girls 15 and under 100m freestyle), the B team were some way off the pace.

By the time the final event - the mixed 6x50m relay - started, the positions had already been decided.

Despite finishing in second place in the relay, Boston A secured maximum points on the evening.
