Miller’s can’t topple leaders Castle

Division One

SIBSEY Millers - at home to top-of-the-table Castle - had one good rink win.

However, Castle won the other two convincingly to take the aggregate and the game 49-59 (2-6).

Woodhall Town did well at home to Sleaford Road A, winning the aggregate with a 19-7 rink win by K. Robinson, and the Cuttings to give a 46-43 (4-4) result.

Forbes Road A won well on all three to beat Mareham le Fen 60-44 (8-0).

Division Two

A GOOD win each in the Jubilee Park versus Wrangle A game saw the home side winning the decider 17-15 to take the match 56-52 (6-2).

Sibsey Strollers went close on two rinks at West End, but they lost badly on the third and lost the game 63-43 (8-0).

Good Fellowship appeared to struggle at Wrangle A, losing on two rinks to give a 59-47 (7-1) finish.

Division Three

KIRTON A continue their good form with a good win at home to BBC I.

They lost a rink by one shot but took the other two by five and 24 shots to record a 73-45 (6-2) result.

BBC II and West Skirbeck had a close game, with one rink tied and a good win each.

The home side just did enough to take the aggregate with a 56-48 (5-3) score.

West Skirbeck, at home to fellow strugglers, Freiston B won decisively on two rinks but just lost out on the third to give a 71-32 (6-2) result, leaving league positions unchanged although both have games to play.

Burton House - at home to BBC II - won a rink by one shot and lost one by the same score.

The House did enough on the third to give a 47-42 (6-2) finish.

Division Four

WOODHALL Nymphs got two welcome points at Horncastle, who won the other two in a convincing manner to show a 60-39 (6-2) win.

A good win for Donington II at home to Wigtoft, with similar scores on each rink giving a 62-38 (8-0) finish.

Swineshead lost badly on one at home to Donington II, but won the other two and the game 55-54 (6-2).

Horncastle did well at home to Sleaford Road II, losing a rink by one shot but winning on the other two and the game 50-42 (6-2).

Donington A, at home to Forbes Road B, won well on one rink - but the away side took the other two and the aggregate to give a 52-54 (2-6) result.

G. Wilkinson and his rink won well for Wigtoft at home to Woodhall Nymphs.

But the Nymphs won well on the other two to give a 43-61 (2-6) result.

Division Five

GEORGE Bulman and his rink won for Sibsey Traders, who lost a second rink by one shot at home to Gosberton, who won well on the third 10-23 and the match 45-54 (2-6)

Kirton B and Bicker got a week one game played off with the home side making little headway against a strong Bicker side who took the match 33-77 (0-8).

Kirton B also struggled at home to Friskney, who have played well all season.

This was no exception, they won the game 30-67 (0-8).

Bicker, playing on the Central Park green, won a rink by just one shot.

And with a good win each on the others tied the aggregate and won the game 55-55 (3-5).
