Roy Wells took the honours in the Over 50s Open Match on Skylark Lake on Thursday.
The competition attracted 36 anglers, but it was Wells of Westwood Lakes, fishing a small method feeder to the island, who won with a catch of 117lbs 8oz of mainly Carp on pellet from peg 31.
In second place was Dave Robinson (Westwood Lakes), peg 10, with 86lbs 8oz, with Ken Clark (Westwood Lakes) third on peg 5 with 80lbs 8oz.
* The Hawk Lake record tumbled in late summer sunshine when Rob Morris (Lincoln Whisby), on the ever reliable peg 20, won with over 40lb to spare with 177lbs 0oz.
Rob caught mainly Carp on maggot and pellet tight across and down the margin. In second place was Tom Edwards (Dynamite Baits), peg 19, with 133lbs 4oz and Paul Harsley (Daves Peg) was third on peg 10 with 121lbs 9oz.

Fishing every other peg produced nine weights over 100lbs, with plenty of 80s and 90s as back up weights as the fish went on the feed.
Tony Evans (Dynamite Baits) got the nod with a solid 162lbs 2oz on the scales. His winning weight consisted of Carp, Barbel and Ide caught across to the island and down his margin, on maggot and pellet from end peg 23.
In second place was Tom Edwards (Dynamite Baits), peg 17, with 152lbs 4oz. Third placed angler was Janusz Kedzierski (Westwood Lakes), peg 39, with 147lbs 2oz.
* An over 50s open match on Skylark Lake on Thursday, September 3, featuring 38 anglers, was won by Ken Clark (Westwood Lakes) with plenty to spare. He put 119lbs 8oz on the scales from peg 30.
Ken started the match fishing across to the island, before switching to the margins on pellet, to catch Carp, Barbel and Ide. He was 34lbs ahead of second placed Roy Wells (Decoy), peg 4, with 85lbs 8oz. In third place was Fred Bisham (Mansfield AC), peg 24, with 79lbs 4oz.
