A new cycling team has been launched in Boston.

Velo-One Cycling consists of 20 riders from the area, and the team will be competing across multi cycling disciplines on the local and national stages, with an eye to progressing into international competitions.

After recently holding their launch party, the team have also laid out the principles they hope to stand for.

They are success and fun, teamwork, encouraging talent and adding their support to JDRF.

As the team has riders and supporters affected by Type 1 Diabetes, Velo One have become an official supporter of JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), we will be increasing the awareness of Type 1 Diabetes through sport.

Team members are now gearing up for the start of the racing season next month.

Among those cyclists representring Velo One this year will be Dan Carr, Madeline Verdegaal, Earl Taylor, Adrian Marshall, Nigel Clare, Scott Francis and Oliver Carr.
