Gold Top Frances Nuttell finished in 27th position at the English Schools AA Senior Girls’ Heptathlon Championships at Bedford this weekend.

In her first National Schools combined events competition at senior level, representing Lincolnshire, the Boston and District AC competitor produced a personal best and a season’s best performance within the seven disciplines.

Frances competed in the 100m (17.00 secs), high jump (1.56m SB), shot (7.04m), 200m (30.43secs), long jump (4.47m), javelin (18.02m) and 800m (3 mins 06.98 secs PB).

She earned a total of 3,051 points.

Two Boston and District AC representatives competed for Lincolnshire in the annual under 13 and under 15 Inter-county Track and Field match at Cudworth, also this weekend.

In the under 13 girls, Jessica Edwards finished fourth in the A 100m (14.4 secs) and contributed sixth-place points to the team total in the A long jump (3.70m) and the A shot (7.30m).

At under 15 boys’ level, Oliver Simmonds contested the A high jump in wet conditions, clearing 1.55m for seventh.

Two senior Boston and District AC members competed in the Lincoln Games.

Multi-eventer James Rourk achieved 8.96m in shot, 3.70m in long jump and recorded 56.95 secs for 400m, 5mins 01.38 secs for the 1,500m and 12.65 secs in the senior men’s 100m.

At the same meeting, Rebecca Grice threw 14.24m in discus and clocked 7 mins 31.01secs in the senior women’s 1,500m.
