Olympic medallists take part in GB rowing trials on the Witham

LONDON 2012 hopefuls took to the Witham on Saturday, as Boston hosted the Great Britain rowing trials.

Olympians and Olympic hopefuls took to the water at the Boston Rowing Club-hosted event, which sees oarsmen and women looking to book their place in the greatest sporting show on Earth.

Alan Campbell won the men’s single event, with Anna Watkins claiming the equivalent women’s title.

Olympic champion Andy Triggs Hodge and Alex Partridge (a silver medallist) won the men’s pairs.

Richard Chambers held off his younger brother Peter to win the lightweight men’s single scull contest.

Sophie Hosking won the lightweight women’s single event.
